Meet Jessica!

Meet Jessica! She inspires us so much we named the Jessica Rib Fitted Racer Tank in her honor. As our very own Assistant Creative Director, Jessica makes sure we’re always putting our best face forward. Jessica exemplifies what it means to #pushthestandard. Here’s a look at how she does it.

Name: Jessica L.
Age: 27
Occupation: EasyStandard Assistant Creative Director
Location: Los Angeles

How do you push the standard?

By questioning and pushing back on societal standards and social norms.

What’s on your mind at this very moment?

Launching this brand.

What’s your morning must-have before you talk to people or think about work?

Brushing my teeth and doing my skincare routine (though I often have to do the abbreviated version because I like to sleep in until the last possible second 😬).

Describe the happiest moment of your life.

I’m lucky enough to say I’m having trouble answering this one. The day I met Cecil, my bunny, is definitely Top 5.

What meal could you eat every day for the rest of your life and be totally happy about it?

Pasta, pasta, pasta (but also sushi)

Who are your heroes?

My mom, Barbara, she’s one of the strongest people I know

Jane Goodall

Coco Chanel

Greta Thunberg

Audrey Hepburn

Joan Mitchell (not to be confused with Joni Mitchell, though she’s great too)

What’s your biggest priority when you’re working to give back?

The environment is a big one for me. I think it’s so important to keep sustainability in mind when giving back, even if it’s not an environmental cause.

It’s time for a TV binge and you’re holding the remote. What are we watching?

Recently I’ve been switching between this show I recently discovered called “Aquarius” and “Parks and Recreation.” Although, I would be leaving out a big part of my life if I didn’t mention “Planet Earth.”

What’s your greatest indulgence?

Clothing. I’ve been building my archive since I was probably 10. And if I had known what an archive was before that, I would have started sooner. There were a lot of strong looks in my single-digit years.

Tell us about your most meaningful journey.

The one I’m currently on: life. 🤠

Everyone has a secret superpower. What’s yours?

Ordering takeout. My family literally refuses to do it because I’m that good.

Where is your favorite spot in the whole world?

That’s a tough one! Today I’m going to say a lodge outside of Kruger National Park in South Africa. Going there was truly a life-changing experience.

If you could wake up tomorrow with any talent, what would it be?

I’ve thought A LOT about this so I’m going to cheat and name all of them. I would love to have a beautiful singing voice, pick up any instrument and play it, be able to speak any and every language, and finally, I would really like to have the ability to communicate with animals. So maybe my answer is the ability to communicate across multiple channels? All of those things are forms of communication, right?

What are the top 3 qualities of a strong woman?

Confidence

Compassion

Drive

What was your most mortifying moment and how did you save face?

During my freshman year of college I stayed at a friend’s apartment in the city the night before flying back home for Thanksgiving. He generously leant me a pair of his pajama bottoms and let me sleep in his bed while he took the couch. When I woke up the next morning I had bled through the pajamas and all over his sheets. It basically looked like a massacre had taken place. In a panic, I stripped the bed and shoved the PJs in my suitcase so I could toss them later. Clearly, I did not save face.

What is your greatest passion?

Art. And to be clear, art comes in many forms. 😊

In your next life, you’d like to come back as ...

A mermaid.
